About Tildown
Tildown is a cozy city-building game that runs right in your browser – on your phone, tablet or PC, with no download and no installation. It is an independent project from Austria: no publisher, no investors, nothing to buy.

The idea
Many building games rely on timers, energy bars and offers that push you to pay. Tildown wants to be the opposite: a game to unwind with. You draw roads, zone districts and watch your city grow – no countdown, no game over, no pressure.
There is still depth to it. Commuters find real routes through your road network, traffic jams form where too many travel at once, and housing, commerce and industry need to stay in balance. Plan far ahead if you like – or just start building.
What to expect
- Roads, junctions and bridges, later main roads and motorways
- Residential, commercial and industrial districts that grow with demand
- Traffic with real commuters, plus a traffic view and a smog view
- A railway for big cities
- Ten landmarks from Neuschwanstein to the Sydney Opera House as a late-game goal
- A day-and-night cycle, weather and lots of little details
- Six languages: German, English, French, Italian, Danish and Spanish
The game guide explains how everything works in detail.
Free – and it stays that way
Tildown is permanently free. There is nothing to buy: no premium currency, no paid shortcuts, no advantages for paying players. Every city grows through playing alone.
Servers and ongoing development are funded by discreet ads inside the game. The home page, the guide, the updates page and this page stay ad-free.
Your data
You need neither an email address nor your real name to play. Your progress is saved automatically; an account (name and password) is optional and only needed if you want to play on several devices. Ads are not personalised. All the details are in the privacy policy.
Constantly improving
Tildown grows with its players. New content, improvements and fixes arrive in small steps, often several times a week – many of them come straight from feedback sent from the game. What changed recently is listed on the updates page.
